Dear Yvonne,
The deadline for registering for the Support
Group Leader's Luncheon is THIS Friday, May
29, so hurry and register if you haven't yet!
I don't want you to miss the fun and
fellowship, along with the wonderful time of
encouragement! We'll have delicious food, a
scrumptious dessert, an encouraging speaker,
and exciting gifts!
If you're in support group leadership--a board member, a newsletter editor, an officer, or a committee chair--or if you're a person ready to move into leadership, you're invited to join us at the convention on Friday, June 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., for a special luncheon to honor your service to the homeschool community. The luncheon, hosted by HEAV, is FREE to you--the only prerequisite is that you be a leader and registered for convention!
It's always fun to meet old friends from past years and learn what their groups are doing. Veteran leaders have lots of experiences to share with new leaders, while new leaders bring innovative and fresh ideas to the table. There will be lots to talk about during our "getting acquainted" session over lunch.
Our guest speaker, Debbie Strayer, will show us how to survive and even thrive with the changes in the homeschool community. Get ready to be refreshed and renewed as we learn new ways to rely on the Lord!
In addition to lunch and good fellowship, we'll be giving away incredible gifts donated by our Exhibit Hall vendors. Our vendors also want to recognize the important work you do. One vendor has even donated a new mini-laptop computer as a door prize! Could you use one of those? Well, one of you will be the winner!
Register Today!
To help us plan this extra-special event,
please call our office by Friday, May
29. Your reservation must be made by
calling 804-278-9200 before 4 p.m. Please be
ready to update your support group contact
information if you have changes. And
don't forget the registration policy we
implemented last year: Although the plated
luncheon is FREE, a credit card number (or
check) will be required and will be processed
in the amount of $25 only if you make a
reservation but do not attend. The
cancellation deadline without the $25 charge
is also May 29.
Here's something new just for you! Based on
your suggestions, we've added a Leadership
Track this year. The track will kick off
right after the Leadership Luncheon in a
nearby room with a Q & A Panel, and then
continue with three workshops on Saturday.
ALL leaders, potential leaders, and interested convention attendees are invited to attend the Leadership Track--you don't have to attend the Leadership Luncheon in order to participate in the Leadership Track.
