Support HEAV Every Time You Shop!

Did you know that simply by using your shopper’s card at Food Lion or Ukrop’s you can make a donation to HEAV? (Bloom and Bottom Dollar stores, members of Food Lion LLC, also participate.) If you are an online shopper, there is an opportunity for you to make charitable contributions by shopping, too.

FOOD LION'S SHOP & SHARE PROGRAM

HEAV is a registered nonprofit organization in Food Lion’s Shop & Share program. A percentage of your Food Lion purchases will be donated to HEAV every time you use your MVP card at Food Lion, Bloom, or Bottom Dollar. Simply register your MVP card on the Shop & Share website according to the directions below, and use it each time you shop. This will not interfere with any other MVP programs and discounts, and a purchase that includes MVP discounted products is not necessary.

•    Click “Register MVP cards”
•    Select “Find organization”
•    (VA – Richmond – Home Educators)
•    Choose “Add MVP cards”
•    Enter your information and select “Next”
•    Click “Finished"

UKROP'S VALUED CUSTOMER CARD

From March 2 through March 28, 2009, Ukrop's customers can help support HEAV while shopping! Any customer who has a valid Ukrop's Valued Customer (UVC) Card can participate without any additional registration. If you need a UVC Card, just stop by the Customer Service counter at any Ukrop's retail location.

Here's how it works. You will earn one Golden Gift Point for every $1 spent at Ukrop's between March 2 through March 28, 2009. Points are automatically calculated and tracked on your purchase receipts. At the end of the program period, a Golden Gift Certificate that details your household's points will be mailed to you. To donate your certificate to HEAV, simply send it to the HEAV office at 2248 G Dabney Road, Richmond, VA 23230.

Note: Households must spend at least $100 during the program (an average of $25 per week over 4 weeks) in order to receive a Golden Gift Certificate. Golden Gift points for all household members whose UVC Cards are linked will be tallied together.
