THOUGHT
FOR THE
WEEK
Sow in Springti meHave you ever gotten around to
planting only AFTER summer has already arrived and you've missed
the best growing season? As full of other commitments as springtime can
be,
it is essential to carve out time to plant if we want to reap the best
harvest. The same holds true with parenting. If we wait until
distractions
dissipate or circumstances change to invest time in our children, we'll
find
we've missed the best growing season of all. Seeds sown in our times of
being stretched will often yield the best results in due season. ~:~

birthday. We will begin returning e-mails, faxes, and phone calls
Tuesday

Worth Repeating "The
blessing and protection of
Heaven are at all times necessary but especially so in times of public
distress
and danger. The General hopes and trusts that every officer and man will
endeavor to live and act as becomes a Christian soldier, defending the
dearest
rights and liberties of his country." - George Washington
(1732-1799), from an order
given on July 9, 1776. Found in John C. Fitzpatrick, ed., The Writings of George Washington (Washington:
Government Printing Office, 1932), vol. 5, 245.
