~:~ ~:~ ~:~ ~:~ ~:~ ~:~ THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
Count Your Many BlessingsWhen upon life's billows you are
tempest tossed, When you are discouraged,
thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name
them one by one, And it will surprise you what
the Lord hath done. - Johnson Oatman, Jr., 1897

Volunteering is a wonderful way to serve others--and be blessed in the
process.
As always, we need lots of help!

Speaker Hosts & Hostesses
- You'll assist your favorite speaker, hand out
evaluation forms, read a brief introduction, and count the number of
people in the room. It's that simple! Please e-mail speakerhost@heav.org
if you'd like to volunteer, and we'll send you a list of available
workshops!

WORK IN A GREAT CHILDREN'S PROGRAM WITH
BUDDY DAVIS FROM ANSWERS IN GENESIS The Children's Program has
been blessed with lots of children this
year, and we need volunteers to help all day
Friday and Saturday. One-day assistants are needed, too. This is a
perfect opportunity for homeschool graduates or homeschool parents
(active or retired) who are not attending the convention and who have a
heart to serve children.

Parting Thought - Entomology Five-year-old Dani was
thoroughly impressing her grandparents with her knowledge of insects
while they
were out for a walk. She readily identified ants, grasshoppers,
crickets, ladybugs,
and such.
When they happened upon a small
beetle she did not immediately recognize, she looked at it thoughtfully,
raised
her foot and stomped it into oblivion on the sidewalk. "That one,"
she said, "is a Squashed Bug."
