THOUGHT FOR THE WEEKThought for the Week
For Their Future
While what we teach our children--and model for them--each day may seem unimportant at the time, it's laying a foundation for their futures! Remember this week that the future starts today. The little boy on your knee and girl by your side will one day be the men and women of tomorrow.
- Inspired by this year's convention theme--see the video below to learn more!

4) Parting Thought - Spin
You've heard the expression, "It's not what you say; it's how you say it"? Well...

A yearly inter-office softball game was held between the company's marketing and support staff.

One year, the support staff whipped the marketing department soundly. But the marketing department showed how they earned their keep by posting this memo on the bulletin board after the game:

"The marketing department is pleased to announce that during the 2009 softball season, we came in second place, having lost just one game all year. However, the support staff had a rather dismal season, as they won only one game."

5) Worth Repeating
"The collection of taxes which are not absolutely required, which do not beyond reasonable doubt contribute to the public welfare, is only a species of legalized larceny. The wise and correct course to follow in taxation is not to destroy those who have already secured success, but to create conditions under which everyone will have a better chance to be successful."
- Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933), thirtieth president of the United States. Take a virtual tour of his Vermont homestead on the Vermont State Historic Sites website.

6) Verse of the Week
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
- Psalm 147:11 (KJV)
