THOUGHT
FOR THE WEEK
He Is
Here
As we
return to "normal" life after Easter celebrations and spring vacations,
let's remember the glorious truth that Christ has risen and is here with
us in
the midst of each subject we teach and task we undertake. He knows about
each
joy and tear. And He cares for us perfectly. "Casting all your care
upon him; for he careth for you." 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)

Power Perfected in Weakness -
By Chris Klicka
For 15 years Chris Klicka battled MS. But rather than letting it
dishearten
him, Chris continued to serve the Lord Jesus, sharing Christ with
thousands
around the world and tirelessly defending homeschool freedoms.
In Power Perfected in Weakness,
an unfinished manuscript submitted to
Shepherd Press just before Chris's death in 2009, Chris Klicka journals
how the Lord showed His grace throughout the increasing debilitation of
MS. Don't
miss this beautiful testimony to God's power!

~:~ ~:~ ~:~ ~:~ ~:~ NEWS ITEMS Education Savings Accounts Still Present
Problem "The U.S. tax
code
has some provisions to help parents save money to spend on education for
their children and to save money tax free for their children's college
education. Unfortunately, there is still discrimination against
homeschoolers in the tax code in this area." Read the rest in this
article by HSLDA's William A. Estrada, Esq.
Update on Warren County Please
continue to pray for the Warren County situation. HEAV and others will
be meeting with the county board and supervisor this Thursday at 7 p.m.

Parting Thought - Smart Technology
A four-year-old girl had an earache and wanted a
pain killer. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle of
chewable tablets. Seeing her frustration, her
mom explained it was a child-proof cap and she'd have to open it for
her. Eyes
wide with wonder, the little girl asked, "How does it know it's me?"
