New Study Says Homeschoolers Are Still Performing Well Just

average, scored 37 percentile points above public school students on
standardized achievement tests." Read a pre-publication report, an
article on the survey, and more on HSLDA's website.

4) Parting Thought - Sewing Lesson
A little girl came to spend a few
weeks with her grandmother, so the older woman decided to teach her to sew.
After going through a lengthy explanation of how to thread the machine, the girl
stepped back, put her hands on her hips, and said in disbelief, "You mean
you can do all that, but you can't operate my Game Boy?"

5)
Worth Repeating

- John Quincy Adams (1767-1848), sixth President of the United States.
After accompanying his father on several overseas trips in his early youth, he
served for three years as secretary to Francis Dana on a mission to Saint
Petersburg, Russia. He began serving as Francis' secretary at the age of just 14!
