CONVENTION REPORT:
A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!
Our thanks to EVERYONE who made this
year's Convention the best yet! Thanks to our
exhibitors, speakers, HEAV board and staff
members, all of the volunteers, the thousands
of attendees, and, above all, the Lord,
without whom none of this past weekend would
have been possible.
While we don't have exact numbers yet, what we have so far indicates that there were more people at the convention than ever before. We're humbled and amazed by the multitude of people God sent despite the tough economy--we pray that each and every one of you were blessed and ministered to in a special way!
We were especially delighted to have many parents of preschoolers and beginning homeschoolers in attendance! A show of hands during the keynotes revealed that an amazing number of people had come to explore homeschooling!
It's hard to pick highlights because everything was so meaningful, but here are a few for starters:
We hope to see you again in 2010! (And to be sure to help us plan, please take the 2009 convention survey. We really read every single comment and suggestion to see what we can do to improve and serve you better.)

Did you attend the convention? Please take a few
minutes to fill out the 2009 Convention Survey. Your feedback is
vital
to the success of the convention--thank you for
participating!
To say thanks, we'll be giving away one (1) three-day convention registration with two nights at the Marriott Hotel, and two (2) free three-day convention registrations for next year's convention. Winners will be notified by July 1, 2009.
CORRECTION: CONVENTION MP3 IS NOW $99
Good news! The Convention MP3 is now $99, not
$129 as we stated in our last e-mail. We had
accidentally printed it incorrectly on one
sheet, and
didn't catch the error in time.
Which means if you missed the convention or didn't get to all the workshops you wanted to attend, you can still get an MP3 filled with all the recorded convention workshops for just $99, plus tax and shipping and handling!*
This year's MP3 is packed with inspirational workshops by Voddie Baucham, Carol Barnier, Wade Myers, Rick and Marilyn Boyer, Joel Salatin, Mike Snavely, Dianne Craft, and MANY others! The MP3 will provide hours of helpful encouragement to keep you motivated all year long. Order your MP3 today!
Easy-to-Use - Even without an MP3 Player!
The convention MP3 comes in a case containing
two
CDs filled with MP3 files. While these CDs
will not
play in CD players, you can plug them
directly into a
DVD player or computer to listen, or download
the files
to your MP3 player. Listen while you exercise
or iron,
or grab a cup of coffee, sit down, and enjoy!
Individual MP3s and CDs
MP3s/CDs of individual workshops are also
available.
See
www.bestchristianconferences.com for details.
*Exhibitor workshops, the Transcript Boot Camp, and Lap Books(TM) Across the Curriculum were not recorded.
We found quite a few backpacks, shoes,
clothing, and other miscellaneous items and
took them back to the office. If you are
missing anything, please send an e-mail to
office@heav.org
describing what is missing. Be sure to include a
phone number where we can reach you.
While you unpack your suitcases, rolling
carts, and
coolers, we're unpacking boxes and boxes of
convention supplies, signs, and resources, and
getting settled back into our office. Feel
free to still
leave messages and e-mail us--we will begin
returning messages, e-mails, and faxes on
Monday,
June 22, 2009.

Convention Speaker Handouts Still
Available
You can still download handouts for some of
the workshops on our
Speaker Handouts page.
Help Reach YOUR Community
Can you help us pass along information about the
convention and HEAV events? We've found the best
way to encourage involvement in HEAV
activities and
events is through "word of mouth," and are
looking for
help from people who are willing to pass along
information about upcoming seminars and events
(such as next year's convention!) to their
community,
churches, online groups, MOPS group, etc. Our
new
Outreach Partner program makes it almost
effortless!
We'll send you ready-to-go announcements and
information that you can forward along to
your church
or group, or post in your community. Sign up
using our
online form.

Father of mine, some years ago
You showed me the way I ought to go;
You led my feet past the treachr'rous sand
By the gentle clasp of your own strong hand.
Father of mine, let me thank you for
The prayers you prayed and the burden you
bore.
Like a guiding star thror' the tempestsr'
strife,
All your precepts have shone on my path of life.
Father of mine, when the time has passed
And the work of my life is complete at last,
When I step ashore on the glory strand
With a grateful heart I will clasp your hand.
