On, Wednesday, March 26, 2008, approximately 800 homeschoolers participated in the HEAV-sponsored Homeschool Day at New Market Battlefield State Historical Park. Participants enjoyed interactive guided tours, military drill, black-powder demonstrations, 19th-century crafts, storytelling, cooking demonstrations, games and period dancing, and much, much more!
HEAV wishes to offer our sincere thanks to the battlefield for making us so welcome and for providing so many wonderful, educational activities! We also wish to thank you all for your support of HEAV—we couldn’t help arrange events like these without it! We appreciate your continued support of HEAV through your prayers, feedback, membership, donations, and volunteer service--your support helps us offer events like this one throughout the year.
