Homeschool Day at Nauticus 2008

On January 15, 2008, 1,200 homeschoolers and their parents came to Nauticus at the downtown Norfolk waterfront to learn about the largest natural harbor in the world. Children of all ages touched exotic sea creatures, saw liquids boiling without a stove, watched balloons explode with bright flashes, and more. In short, it was a wonderful day of learning and having fun together as a family.

The Homeschool Day at Nauticus was an HEAV-sponsored event--an event that HEAV staff and volunteers worked side by side with Nauticus to coordinate. At HEAV, we're delighted to have the opportunity to serve you through events like Homeschool Day at Nauticus. We appreciate your continued support of HEAV through your prayers, feedback, membership, donations, and volunteer service--your support helps us offer events like this one throughout the year. We couldn't do what we do without YOU!

And now, we hope you enjoy these pictures of the event. Please check our events page to find out about other upcoming HEAV sponsored events.
