Support Group Leaders - Leadership Luncheon

2007 Photo

To honor those who serve the homeschool community, HEAV is hosting a Leadership Luncheon. Along with the delicious food and scrumptious desserts, we will have an encouraging speaker and lots of exciting gifts!

Who can come?
If you're in support group leadership (a board member, a newsletter editor, an officer, or a committee chair), a person ready to move into leadership, or a homeschool e-group moderator, you are invited to join us at the convention on Friday, June 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., for a special luncheon to honor your service to other homeschoolers. The luncheon, hosted by HEAV, is FREE to you--the only prerequisites are that you are a leader and are registered for the convention!

Special Gifts and Door Prizes
We'll have dozens of door prizes supplied by our generous vendors. Last year, leaders received a variety of gifts including hand-made soaps, specialty books, museum passes, a $100 gift certificate, a mini computer, and more!

And that's not all! This year, HEAV is putting together a special gift for you! The gift is something we believe will greatly benefit you and your support group.

Luncheon Speaker
We're delighted to have Mary Schofield as our special guest speaker this year. Mary is a veteran homeschool mom, an experienced homeschool leader, an attorney, and the author of The High School Handbook. She will be sharing her “Top Ten Leadership Tips.” You won't want to miss her encouraging words to leaders!

Register Today!
To help us plan this extra-special event, please call our office by Friday, May 27, 2011. Seating is limited to the first 100 leaders who call. Your reservation must be made by calling 804-278-9200 before 4 p.m. Please be ready to update your support group contact information if you have had changes.

Although the plated luncheon is FREE, a credit card number (or check) is required and will be processed in the amount of $25 only if you make a reservation but do not attend the luncheon.

The cancellation deadline is also May 27. If you notify us that your plans have changed by this date, you will not be charged the $25 luncheon fee.
