Children's Program Volunteers

Children's Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Children's Program! We were both amazed by and grateful for the number of volunteers who stepped in to meet this need and are happy to report that all our slots have been filled.

However, if you'd like to volunteer elsewhere at the convention, please check in at the Volunteer Table in the convention lobby when you arrive. We could always use helpers!

INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN'S PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS

All volunteers will undergo a screening process and will be expected

  • To attend volunteer training on Thursday, June 10, at 6 p.m. at the Convention Center.
  • To follow the instructions received from Answers in Genesis.
  • To wear the staff T-shirt provided to you. Young men will need to wear long pants and young ladies can wear longer skirts or long pants. Remember to choose clothing that will allow you to sit on the floor and participate in activities comfortably and modestly.
  • All volunteers under 18 years of age must bring a signed Consent and Release Form for Youth Volunteers to the volunteer training.

Children's Program volunteers do NOT need to be registered for the convention, and reduced-rate or comped accommodations may be available for key workers.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM VOLUNTEER FAQS

As in past years, our Children's Program volunteers are a special category of volunteers with different rules and responsibilities than our general convention volunteers. The following questions should clarify some differences. Should you have further questions, please e-mail childrensprogram@heav.org.

Q: Do I have to be registered for the convention to volunteer?
A: No. Children's Program volunteers, unlike regular convention volunteers, do not need to be registered for the convention. However, you will not be able to attend any other parts of the convention unless you are registered.

Q: Can my teen volunteer without me?
A: Yes! We welcome mature teens as volunteers in the Children's Program. Parents do not need to be registered for the convention, but should make sure the teen is able to get to and from his assignment on time each day.

Q: If I volunteer in the Children's Program, will I be able to shop early in the Used Curriculum Sale?
A:
No. Children's Program volunteers do not receive early admission into the Used Curriculum Sale. But they do get to have lots of fun with precious little ones!
